Kelly-Lynn & Dan

Dan and Kelly-Lynn are a lovely couple and they were married at the Westside Community Church in Lethbridge on the 10th of May this year—and, yes, I'm that behind in updating the blog!

It's kind of not fair that Kelly gets two first names and Dan only gets half of one, but I guess now that they're married maybe they can share one.

Anyway. :) It was a heart-warming and emotional day, with both Dan and Kelly needing tissues for their tears more than once. I love it when the wedding is so meaningful for the couple and their love is so evident. It's truly one of the most rewarding times as a photographer to be there to record such special moments.

We wish them all the best and here are some of their pictures.

Unique Images Photography Actions

We are live! Thanks for all you patient photographers out there who have been waiting for these actions to come out. They are here now. :)

We have a new set of Photoshop actions as well as a high dynamic range script and action set for sale.

The action set has 50 Photoshop actions to give your images colour pop as well as cool effects and also some necessary short cuts for faster editing.

Our script automatically creates high dynamic range images from individual RAW files and runs on entire folders at once, saving you hours of time processing different RAW exposures and then stacking and masking them into new files.

We are also offering a special for the first few people. We will include a link to two downloadable videos showing some of my editing processes.

Mike & Coralie's Wedding

Mike and Coralie are married! Hooray! Finally. :)

They were married at the Lethbridge First Christian Reformed Church and their reception was at Anton's in the Lethbridge Lodge. It was a gorgeous day, too! For Lethbridge, the weather was next to perfect. :)

I just want to say how much of a pleasure it was being at their wedding. Mike and Coralie are both great to spend time with. Coralie so bright and bubbly! :) Mike is an intelligent, sensitive guy—well, except for when he plays online games, apparently. He also shares my enthusiasm for Monty Python and that kind of silly humour. When I was taking some posed shots of him in his hotel room right after he was dressed, I was aiming for a cool, manly sort of vibe. But I couldn't get him to stop laughing! And between Scott, his groomsman, and myself it was pretty much a hopeless cause; everything we said only made him laugh more.

Scott, you're right; we should have kicked him in the shins. It was the only sensible thing to do.

Their wedding party was heaps of fun, too. Talk about a fun and easy-going bunch! They were totally up for my crazy ideas and even had a couple of their own. I'll never go back to that shack again, though. We could have caught a disease! So those photos are going to be uniquely yours.

We attended their reception, but just as guests. I did take a handful of photos, though; I couldn't help myself. It was weird sitting there without doing anything! I started to get twitchy.

Anyways, Sherri and I wish Mike and Coralie all the best for their future together.

Oh, and guys? Don't be superstitious about your unity candle. It's just a lump of wax with a wick. :)

Here's just one photo for now. I'll come back with a slideshow in a couple of days or so.
